Northwestern Alberta Foundation announces 7 Over 70 Celebration

Northwestern Alberta Foundation is launching a new event to honor exceptional seniors that have made a lasting impact in the area.

The 7 Over 70 Celebration will present awards to seven nominated seniors at a ceremony in Grande Prairie in early June 2025.

The award categories are:

• Lifetime Achievement Award: Honoring a lifelong commitment to making a positive community impact.
• Historical Community Builder Award: Celebrating individuals whose heritage and longstanding presence have shaped the community’s identity.
• Regional Legacy Award: Recognizing contributions to Northwestern Alberta’s development through leadership, volunteerism, philanthropy, or service.
• Cultural Enrichment Award: Honoring efforts in arts, culture, or heritage preservation.
• Philanthropy Award: Recognizing exceptional philanthropic contributions.
• Mentorship Award: Celebrating seniors who have guided and inspired younger generations.
• Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award: Acknowledging those who have driven economic growth or development through innovation or business ventures.

Through 7 Over 70, we aim to shine a light on the incredible seniors who have shaped our region and continue to inspire others with their contributions. We are thrilled to honor their legacies and showcase their achievements alongside their families and the communities they have served.

Nominations close March 20, 2025, the 7 Over 70 Celebration will take place June 7, 2025.
