Local hockey and all-star high school volleyball on Thursday sports schedule

There is one game in the North Peace Hockey League Thursday night.

Fort St. John is in Spirit River for an 8:30 p.m. face-off at the MacLean Rec Centre.

The Rangers are second in the West Division with nine points and a record of 4-3-1.

The Flyers are in last in the West Division and winless in eight games.

There were two games in the Northwest Junior Hockey League Wednesday night.

The County Wheat Kings beat visiting Peace River 5-2.

Fort St. John won 5-4 in Beaverlodge.

The NWJHL schedule resumes Friday with Sexsmith at the Wheat Kings, Fairview in Fort St. John and Beaverlodge in Peace River. All those games will start at 8 p.m.

Volleyball

The Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves are hosting their Senior High All-Star Games for volleyball players in Grades 10-12 tonight (Thursday, December 5).

The girl’s game starts at 6 p.m., then the boy’s game at 8 p.m.

The Junior High All-Star Games for players in Grades 7-9 are set for Sunday.

The girl’s game starts at 5 p.m., then the boy’s game at 7 p.m.
