South Peace Regional Archives report records safe following flooding

The South Peace Regional Archives is reporting none of their records were directly impacted by their recent flooding.

Clean-up is underway after the rapid freeze-thaw cycle backed up the drainage pipes, causing minor damage to the administrative areas of the archives.

Staff have been able to maintain humidity levels to protect the records, but the facility will likely remain closed until next year while repairs are underway.

The archives will share more updates when they become available.
