Local municipalities lowering flags in honor of National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

The County of Grande Prairie and the Town of Peace River have both lowered their flags to half-mast today to mark the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
The flags will remain lowered from sunrise to sunset today in memory of the victims of the 1989 Ecole Polytechnique Massacre.
A tribute to the 14 victims will be held in Montreal later today.
The County says their flags will remain at half-mast from dawn to dusk.
