Freezing rain moving across the peace region

Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for parts of the Peace region.

As of right now, the only area of the peace region not under a warning is the northeast portion, which includes Peace River. However, it is expected to move east throughout the day.

Anyone planning to travel is asked to be extra cautious, as roads, Highways and sidewalks are expected to be very icy.

Residents who do plan on travelling today should plan the safest route using 511 Alberta.
