City of Grande Prairie accepting applications for neighbourhood rink program

The City of Grande Prairie is telling any residents interested in running an outdoor skating rink this winter to register now.

Only two days are left to apply for the city’s neighbourhood rink program.

Participating residents consisting of a group of at least five adults will be required to undergo training from the city. They will then be in charge of setting up the rinks and cleaning and maintaining them throughout the winter.

The City will deliver the needed parts, train the operators, and perform monthly inspections.
