Fort St John RCMP arrest “prolific” offender

Mounties with the BC RCMP in Fort St John have caught a suspect in recent break and enters in the area.

Police conducted a targeted investigation for these incidences and a street enforcement team executed a search warrant at a home in the 9600 block of 99 Avenue in Fort St John.

Numerous items were identified from recent break and enters as a result of the search.

The BC Prosecution Service has charged Corbyn Hubley with the following criminal code charges:

  • Break and enter
  • Disguise face with intent to commit and offense
  • Breach of release order

Hubley remains in custody until his next court appearance.

Fort St John RCMP Staff Sargent Scott Watson said in a news release; “After executing a search warrant on a residence, the Fort St John RCMP arrested prolific offender Corbyn Hubley in relation to a break in at Aurora Collectibles.”

Hubley is also due in Grande Prairie court on Wednesday, December 18 on charges related to an incident from January of 2023.

Police had been tracking a vehicle stolen in Fort St. John that Mounties believe was being used in break-ins in Fort St. John and Dawson Creek.

The suspect vehicle was located at a motel in Grande Prairie.

A search of the vehicle and the motel turned up what police believe was “a large quantity of fentanyl”, along with more than $40,000 cash and 30 gift cards.

Hubley is facing a total of 11 charges.
