Freezing rain warning in effect

The Peace Region is now under a freezing rain warning.

According to Environment Canada, a mix of snow, freezing rain and rain will hit the region this afternoon and into this evening. (Thursday, January 9)

The freezing rain is expected to move east through the region with all forecasted precipitation expected to be gone by Friday morning. (January 10)

During the warning, residents are asked to be cautious on surfaces like roads, highways, walkways and parking lots.
