Woodland Cree First Nation and Mercer peace River renew co-ownership of Peace River Logging

Mercer Peace River Pulp Ltd and the Woodland Cree First Nation have renewed their partnership co-owning Peace River Logging.

The new agreement ensures long-term sustainability of the company and secures the jobs of more than 80 local people.

Mercer Peace River is committed to working with Indigenous communities and we look forward to continuing our relationship with Woodland Cree First Nation. Our partnership with Woodland Cree has been built on mutual respect and a shared vision for a sustainable future. Together, we will continue to be dedicated to sustainable management of forest resources.

This renewed agreement marks an important milestone in our ongoing partnership with Mercer Peace River.
