International Holocaust Remembrance Day

Today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day. (Monday, January 27)
In a release, the City of Grande Prairie says they recognize and honour, “the memory of the six million Jewish men, women and children, along with countless others, who were victims of the Holocaust.”
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is also representing Canada today at the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, where historians estimate more than one million people, mostly Jews, were killed by Nazis during the Second World War.
The prime minister put out a statement saying; “The world has a responsibility to remember the Holocaust.”
