Feb 3, 2025 | 2:02 PM

That extreme cold warning in effect for a majority of Alberta including the Peace Region, has now also spread its way to the B.C. Peace.

Fort St. John, Chetwynd, Tumbler Ridge and Dawson Creek are now all under this warning.

Temperatures of near minus 40 is expected throughout the day, dropping to the minus 45 and 50 range overnight.

Residents are warned to avoid outdoor activities as much as possible as extreme colds pose a health risk and frostbite can develop in minutes.
