Northwestern Polytechnic has announced a 15-year partnership with industrial automation solutions company Spartan Control.

Spartan has been announced as the exclusive naming partner for NWP’s $16-million full-service training and education space to open summer 2025.

The Spartan Controls Northwestern Centre for Industrial Automation & Innovation will feature advanced technology and provide hands-on training to support NWP’s Instrumentation and Control Technical Apprenticeship Program and 3rd Class Power Engineering.

Spartan CEO Doug Ndegwa says that by providing students with state-of-the-art training the partnership will help equip them with the skills and experience needed to excel in critical industries.

NWP President and CEO Dr. Vanessa Sheane says Spartan’s support will directly enhance the learning environment and ensure students receive the best possible preparation for the workforce.

Spartan began collaborating with NWP in 2022.
