Storm game Tuesday, final four teams set in NWJHL, NPHL

Storm

The Storm host Lloydminster tonight (Tuesday, February 18). Face-off time will be 7 p.m. at the Bonnetts Energy Centre.

The second-place Storm are eight points back of first-place Whitecourt with two games in hand. Both teams have clinched a playoff spot.

The Storm and Wolverines split a home-and-home series on the weekend, with both games being decided in a shootout.

Whitecourt won 3-2 in Grande Prairie Friday. The Storm won 4-3 in Whitecourt on Saturday.

NWJHL

The final four teams have been decided in the Northwest Junior Hockey League.

Beaverlodge will be in La Crete for Game 1 of their division final on Saturday.

The Blades advanced with a 3-2 series win over the County of Grande Prairie Wheat Kings, clinching the series with a 5-0 road win on Sunday.

The Lumber Barons beat Sexsmith 10-2 on Friday in Sexsmith to compete a three-game sweep.

In the other division final, Dawson Creek will be in Fort St. John for Game 1 on Friday.

The Kodiaks beat Peace River in four games, winning three in a row after dropping the series opener.

Fort St. John swept Fairview 3-0.

NPHL

In the North Peace Hockey League, Spirit River will play Manning in one semi-final series.

Game 1 is set for Saturday in Manning.

The Rangers advanced with a 4-0 series sweep of Grande Prairie, clinching the series with a 6-1 win Saturday in Grande Prairie.

Manning also swept Valleyview in four games, with the 1-0 clinching victory coming Saturday in Valleyview.

The other semi will have Falher playing Dawson Creek, with the Canucks hosting Game 1 on Friday.

The Pirates beat Fox Creek 7-2 at home on Monday and won that series in five games.

The Canucks beat Fort St. John 10-2 on Saturday to sweep that series.
