Alberta increases funding for fire services training
Fire departments across Alberta will soon be able to access more money to support training efforts.
The Government of Alberta is doubling funds for the Fire Services Training Program (FSTP) to $1 million.
Minister of Municipal Affairs Ric McIver says all municipalities, Metis Settlements and First Nations in the province can apply.
“We are committed to public safety and improving how we support our brave and dedicated fire services. We appreciate the valuable feedback we received during our fire service review and look forward to the ongoing dialogue and collaboration we’ll achieve through the Provincial Fire Liaison Committee,” says McIver.
