One person charged after stabbing in Grande Prairie

A publication ban has been put in place by the Alberta Court of Justice (486.4 & 517 – subsection 1)

 

Grande Prairie RCMP has now sent out a release regarding an “aggravated assault.”

Mounties say two youths were brought into the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital by EMS on Wednesday, February 19, suffering from knife wounds; one youth had serious but nonlife-threatening injuries and was moved to the Stollery in Edmonton to recover, while the other was treated for minor wounds at the GPRH.

As a result, one suspect has been charged with aggravated assault, with a court date set for March 13.

At this time an investigation is still ongoing.
