Storm net-minder listed in AJHL weekly awards

A member of the Grande Prairie Storm has once again been selected as a top player of the week in the AJHL, this time alongside two Calgary Canucks.

Storm net-minder Nicholas Jones is the Defensive Player of the Week as he posted a 2-0 record from March 3-9, pushing Grande Prairie to a three-game win streak.

Both games Jones started came against Fort McMurray, as the Storm took the first 5-1, following that up the next night with a 6-2 final;.Over the course of the back-to-back Jones stopped 50 shots.

This selection marks the 14th time a player from the Storm was selected for one of three weekly awards this season.

The Storm won their last road game of the season Tuesday night, 2-1 in Drayton Valley. The Storm will host Lloydminster Friday and Saturday to close out the regular season.
