Thursday deadline to submit nominations for 7 over 70 Awards

The Northwestern Alberta Foundation says nominations for its 7 over 70 Awards are open until Thursday, March 20.

A release from the organization says these are meant to honour people over 70 years of age for their contributions to the community.

There are seven award categories, including Lifetime Achievement, Historical Community Builder, Regional Legacy, Cultural Enrichment, Philanthropy, Mentorship, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

The foundation says it wants to recognize people for their endless contributions, anyone is welcome to submit a nomination.

An awards celebration is set for June 7.
