Penson School students donate teddy bears to GPRH pediatric ward

The pediatric ward at Grande Prairie Regional Hospital has been given a bunch of stuffed animals from Penson School.

Thanks to donations from students, families and the community, the Penson School Council was able to donate seven large bags of teddy bears for the ward’s patients.

Grade 5 teacher Ms. Ashley Bowen says they are grateful for the donations from the Grovedale Oldstars, Grovedale Community and Agricultural Society, Darrel McAusland and the Penson School Parent Fundraising Society.

“Their kindness will help bring comfort and smiles to so many children in need,” says Bowen. “I am so proud of our students for hosting such an impactful event and to our school community for its incredible support.”

The donations were delivered to the hospital March 17.
