Fort St. John community tips lead to the arrest of a wanted man

Mar 20, 2025 | 8:02 AM

Police in Fort St. John say they arrested a man wanted in both B.C. and Alberta after he allegedly tried to break into a truck.

Mounties say tips from the public led them to a parking lot in the town and arrested the man, who had outstanding warrants in Dawson Creek and Beaverlodge.

Police say the man has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, mischief to property and failure to comply with an order.

Mounties say the man is well known to law enforcement in the region and he remains in custody until a court can deal with his bail.
