County of Grande Prairie to purchase new equipment for County Regional Fire Service

The County Regional Fire Service is getting some new equipment.
At the meeting Monday, County of Grande Prairie Council directed administration to purchase replacement specialized equipment such as multiple self-contained breathing apparatus cylinders, hoses and nozzles and fittings.
Some of the existing equipment was nearing its end of life/expiration dates and had been in use since the service was formed.
The total cost of the purchase is over $222,500, as identified through an internal equipment audit.
