AHS encourages getting up-to-date on your shots for National Immunization Awareness Week
Alberta Health Services is encouraging residents to check up on their health records and get up-to-date during National Immunization Awareness Week, April 21-30.
The message is even more important as the province is dealing with multiple outbreaks of measles.
AHS says the best protection is immunization.
The MMR-Var vaccine is given as part of Alberta’s routine immunization schedule for children and is free. It protects against measles, mumps, rubella and chickenpox (varicella).
