Apr 24, 2025 | 2:32 PM

This is a candidate profile for the April 28, 2025 federal election.

All candidates have been asked the same four questions, and were given a 600-word limit.

Responses are unedited for grammar and spelling, and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of EverythingGP and Pattison Media.

Canadians head to the polls on April 28.

1) Why are you running to be a Member of Parliament?

It has been an incredible honour to serve as Member of Parliament in Peace River – Westlock Northern Alberta is where I was born and where I am raising my family. In the 9 years that I have been honoured to serve as MP for Peace River – Westlock, my values and motivation have not wavered. I am running to defend our way of life in Ottawa: family values, less government intrusion, lower taxes, firearm ownership, and standing up for the key industries that keep our communities fed like farming, forestry, fracking, and oil and gas. When my grandfather immigrated to Canada, he came because of the promise of our country that if you worked hard, you could make a good living and raise a family in freedom. After 9 years of Liberal government, I am running to restore this promise for every Canadian under a Conservative government.

2) Why should people vote for you, and what skills do you have that make you suitable for this role?

Having served as a Member of Parliament for 9 years I have developed the necessary high level of experience to engage in Parliamentary work. As a long serving Committee member, I have been effective at representing Albertan values and putting forward initiatives that defend our rural way of life. I also bring to Ottawa my experience as a journeyman mechanic with a business degree. With so many lawyers in Ottawa, it’s helpful to have a common sense perspective on the issues that affect us most. Finally I have a strong working knowledge of the riding and have built strong relationships with the municipal leaders, communities and Indigenous across the riding.

3) What will you advocate for; and do you intend to fully tow the party line?

I am going to continue to advocate for the issues that matter most to our communities. After the Lost Liberal Decade, groceries, gas, rent, and mortgages are all up. Behind it all? Taxes and red tape. That is why I will advocate for the Conservative Plan For Change that will lower food and housing costs, stop crime, and bring home jobs to put Canada First. We will:

Cut the Liberal deficit by 70%, with less spending on bureaucracy,, while boosting growth with resource jobs.

Lower income tax 15% saving the average worker $900 and average working family $1,800.

Lock up criminals to make you safe–for a change and end the Liberal catch and release bail policy.

A Conservative government will empower our entrepreneurs, unleash our industries, get pipelines built, and stand up for our workers.

4) How do you believe Canada’s federal government should tackle its current predicament with the United States, and where do you sit on Canadian sovereignty?

Canada is a sovereign country and we will always be. I believe we should be pursuing a tariff free arrangement with US and increase military spending so we can defend ourselves. We need to make Canada more self reliant and diversify markets, which is why we need an east west energy corridor. FInally we need to open up trade across provinces and with allies abroad. That is why a Conservative government will bring the premiers together to slash exceptions in the Canadian Free Trade Agreement and boost interprovincial trade within 30 days of taking office A Conservative government will free the roads for truck drivers by harmonizing trucking regulations and permits across provinces to eliminate red tape, cut costs, and open up trade in the sector that keeps our economy moving. Finally, we need to secure a fair deal on softwood lumber as we achieved under the previous Conservative government to protect our forestry workers.
