Peace River man charged for stealing fire truck in southern Alberta

Mounties in Vulcan, AB, have arrested one person and another is still at large following the theft of two fire trucks from a fire hall.

On Sunday, April 20, at around 11:30 p.m., RCMP responded to a notification of a commercial alarm from the Champion Fire Hall, and while on route, saw two fire trucks travelling at a high rate of speed with no emergency lights activated.

Police tried to stop the fire trucks, but they continued on.

A Peace River man, 25-year-old Jaeden Glabb, was arrested with the help of Police Dog Services and faces charges of:

  • Break and enter to business x2
  • Possession of property obtained by crime x2
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
  • Flight from a Peace Officer
  • Breach Release Order x3

Glabb was taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into police custody, he is to be in Lethbridge court today (April 25, 2025).

The second suspect has been identified but has yet to be caught. Both fire trucks were recovered.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
