GP Grows: Dig It giving away free gardening supplies May 4

The City of Grande Prairie is holding a free event Sunday to help out local gardens.

GP Grows: Dig it is an event supported by Servus Credit Union, Farm Credit Canada and KLon Services to give away seed potatoes, onions and triple -mix soil to promote home gardening.

They will be giving away enough supplies for approximately 600 to 700 residents on a first-come first-served basis.

Mayor Jackie Clayton says the event is an example of how we can grow community and connection as well as gardens.
