Drivers reminded to watch for stopped school buses
May 4, 2025 | 7:00 AM
Peace Regional RCMP say a driver was given a $1,500 fine after disregarding signage on a school bus.
Mounties say that on April 28, a school bus driver reported that someone had passed a bus that had stopped to let some kids off. The bus’s stop sign had been deployed.
Police say they were able to eventually get the license number of the vehicle and track down the driver.
RCMP add that children’s lives are at risk when drivers don’t stop in situations like this and that kids rely on motorists to follow the rules of the road.
