Grande Prairie RCMP arrests two people and seeks a third in identity theft investigation

Grande Prairie RCMP have arrested a pair of suspects following an identity theft investigation.

On May 1, Mounties arrested two individuals in a black Kia Sportage with stolen plates, later learning the vehicle was purchased using a fraudulent loan obtained through identity theft.

Three individuals were charged:

Twenty-one-year-old Mary Estelle, of no fixed address, was the passenger arrested in possession of the vehicle and was charged with:

  • Fraud over $5000;
  • Identity fraud; and
  • Breach of release order.

Twenty-six-year-old Dylan Sutton, a resident of Grande Prairie, was the driver arrested in possession of the vehicle and was charged with:

  • Fraud over $5000;
  • Identity fraud; and
  • Obstruct peace officer.

Twenty-six-year-old Dwayne Olson, a resident of Hythe, was charged with Fraud over $5000 and Identity fraud and an arrest warrant has been issued.

Estelle and Sutton are to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Grande Prairie May 7.
