Ten players from the Peace taken in the WHL Prospects Draft

Ten players from the Peace have been picked in the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft.

Three were taken in the first round.

Cruz Jim, a defenceman from Grande Prairie, went 12th overall to the Brandon Wheat Kings.

He played the last two seasons with the Northern Alberta Xtreme U15 Prep Team

Two picks later, teammate Teagan Bouchard was taken by the Kamloops Blazers. Bouchard is a centre and is from Falher.

The Swift Current Broncos then chose right winger Cohenn Rotar 22nd overall. He is from Grande Prairie and played with the GPAC Storm U15 AAA team.

Swift Current picked defenceman Linden Anderson from Fort St. John in the second round, 37th overall.

He is a defenceman and played with the NEBC Trackers U15 AA team.

In round three, Everett nabbed defenceman Cole Krebs from Grande Prairie. He played last season with the Northern Alberta Xtreme U15 Prep Team.

Saskatoon picked Grande Prairie’s Bracken LaRoque in the fourth round, 77th overall. He is a goalie and was with the GPAC Storm U15 AAA Team last year.

Grande Prairie’s Corbin Dunphy was picked in the sixth round, 127th overall by Edmonton. The right winger was also with the Northern Alberta Xtreme U15 Prep Team last year.

Two more Grande Prairie products were taken in the seventh round.

Goalie Adrien Brochu went 140th overall to Swift Current. He was with the GPAC Storm U15 AAA team last year.

Another GPAC Storm U15 AAA player, left winger Nixon Bettenson, was picked 152nd overall by Prince George.

Medicine Hat picked Fort St. John’s Trae Alexander in the seventh round, 143rd overall.
