Voter turnout in Grande Prairie above national number

Elections Canada numbers show that voter turnout for the federal election was slightly above the national turnout in the Grande Prairie riding.

Of the 83,264 people on the voters list, 59,000 came out to cast a ballot, giving a turnout of 70.85 per cent. That includes ballots that were counted and ones that were rejected.

The national turnout was 68.65 per cent, with 19,583,016 people coming out to vote.

The turnout in Peace River-Westlock was 66.6 per cent with 53,767 votes cast out of the 80,736 voters on the list.

The turnout in Yellowhead was 60.6 per cent.
