City of Grande Prairie Mosquito Control Operations begin May 9

The City of Grande Prairie is set to being their mosquito control operations today, Friday, May 9.

City crew’s efforts will focus on temporary standing water locations that support the development of mosquito larvae and are within the designated control boundary.

They will be using a granular larvicide called Aquabac 200g, that is approved by Health Canada and only targets mosquito larvae.

Residents in areas scheduled for treatment will be notified in advance and provided with more details
