County Campgrounds open for the Victoria Day long weekend

The County of Grande Prairie’s campgrounds officially reopen Thursday, May 15.

With several improvements completed over the off-season, visitors will notice some exciting changes at our campgrounds. These updates reflect our ongoing commitment to providing well-maintained, welcoming spaces where people can relax, connect with nature, and enjoy quality time outdoors.” Christine Rawlins, Director of Recreation and Culture

Upgrades include expanded amenities at Bear Lake Campground and a new playground at Hommy Campground.

The County is reminding all visitors to respect the campground’s environment, staff and fellow campers, and to check the County’s fire ban page to stay up to date on current restrictions.
