City of Grande Prairie site tours and other projects as part of Bear Creek Dam Feasibility Study

Several key initiatives centered around the Bear Creek Dam will be unfolding soon.

The City of Grande Prairie will be undertaking projects aimed at planning for the asset’s future, including a feasibility study, opportunities for public input, and structural upgrades.

A survey is available online until June 22 for the public to share their thoughts of the dam and surrounding reservoir, with in-person guided tours of the dam planned for mid-June.

Starting May 20, the City will be conducting geotechnical testing, and residents may notice contractors collection soil samples using an excavator at multiple sites.
