Grande Prairie museums participating in International Museum Day

May 16, 2025 | 7:00 AM

Grande Prairie’s museums are partnering up Saturday for International Museum Day.

Free admission is being offered for the Grande Prairie Museum, Boreal Wetland Centre, Phillip J Currie Dinosaur Museum, Art Gallery of Grande Prairie and the Veterans Memorial Gardens & Interpretive Centre to celebrate the day.

Additionally, each of these facilities will have special activities and features for the day, and a free shuttle service is being offered for anyone wanting to visit them.

Mayor Jackie Clayton says museums are vital spaces where curiosity is sparked, knowledge is shared, and stories are preserved.

Grande Prairie Museum curator Charles Taws says they are inviting everyone to celebrate the richness of our cultural heritage and learn something new by visiting these facilities.
