Town of Grimshaw appoints Water Operator

The Town of Grimshaw has appointed a new Water Operator.

Tamara Lorenzen was officially recognized in her new role during the Town’s Public Works Appreciation Week barbecue Tuesday.

As Water Operator, Lorenzen will test water quality, track chlorine residuals, monitor water consumption from the aquifer and submit reports to Alberta Environment and Protected Areas.

Town CAO Brian Allen says Lorenzen worked really hard to earn her Alberta Water and Wastewater certification is just under a year, and the whole town is proud of her accomplishment.

Mayor Wendy Wald says the Town is congratulating Lorenzen and thanked her for her commitment to ensuring the safety and quality of the town’s drinking water.
