HFCRD welcoming two new vice-principals in the fall

May 23, 2025 | 7:00 AM

Two new vice-principals will be heading up roles in the Holy Family Catholic Regional Division come the fall.

Patrick Connellan, who’s been with the district since 1990, will now be taking over a leadership role once again, after serving as both a vice-principal and principal at Good Shepard School.

After his first stint in administration, Connellan then transitioned back to the classroom in 2013, taking up a teaching role at Glenmary School.

He will now once again take up a VP role at Glenmary starting in the fall.

In the release, HFCRD Superintendent Betty Turpin highlighted Connellan’s “strong passion for building relationships with students, staff, and families, academic excellence, wellness through the High School First Responders Program, and Faith Permeation.”

Turpin added that all these traits “make him a valuable addition to our administration team.”

At St. Thomas More, a Fairview local and school alumni will take over the vice-principal role.

Amanda Landry will transition to the role at the start of the new school year, after being a primary grade teacher at the school since 2008.

Landry is a U of A Education grad, and currently resides on her generational farm operation.

STM’s current Principal, Thomas Fraser, says her experience as a student at St. Thomas helps her “bring a deep connection to our community and families.”

“Her love for St. Thomas More and Catholic Education will be a great asset to our leadership team.”

Both Connellan and Landry will begin their new roles in August.
