Temperature record broke in Grande Prairie on Sunday

Environment Canada says Grande Prairie had a new daily maximum temperature record set on Sunday May 25, 2025.

The new record is now 27.3 degrees Celsius, beating the old record set back on the same date in 1946 of 27.2 degrees Celsius.

Warmer weather should be sticking around for the next while in the Grande Prairie area, with highs expected to stay in or above the 20’s until the end of the month.
