TSB continues to investigate powered parachute crash near Grande Prairie

The Transportation Safety Board is investigating after a powered parachute crash near Grande Prairie.

A powered parachute is also described as “a backpack motor.”

The board says it happened just after 8 a.m. on Friday, May 23 in a field east of Grande Prairie.

CBC Edmonton is reporting that a 46 year old man was injured and flown to an Edmonton hospital.

The safety board says there was no impact mark in the field, and there was no wreckage left behind or a fire.

The board says it is “still collecting information and assessing the occurrence.”
