Evacuation alerts in place for several northern communities

A two hour evacuation alert is now in place for Peerless Lake and Trout Lake.

Officials say a progress has been made fighting a wildfire burring between the two communities.

There had been an 30 minute notice in place earlier.

The Kee Tas Kee Now Tribal Council also has one hour evacuation alerts in place for Loon Lake and Red Earth Creek.

Wildfires are burning 10 kilometres away from each community. People are not required to leave at this time.
