Grande Prairie driver earns top bid at Teepee Creek Stampede WPCA Tarp Auction

Tuff Dreger had the top bid at $11,250 for the World Professional Chuckwagon Association tarp auction for the Teepee Creek Stampede.

It was held Tuesday at the Jackpot Grill & Events Centre.

Manning’s Todd McCracken had the second-highest sale total at $8,250.

DJ DeSutter’s tarp sold for $5750. Kirk Sutherland and Dean Dreger got $5500 each, and Lane Kimble $4500.

The sale total was $92,250 with an average bid of $5125.

A total of 18 WPCA wagons will race July 11 to 13 at the Teepee Creek Stampede.

That will also be the final weekend for the rest of the WPCA drivers at the Calgary Stampede’s Rangeland Derby.
