Grande Prairie Pride Society painting Rainbow Crosswalk

UPDATE – The event has been rescheduled to Tuesday, June 3, due to rainfall over the weekend.

The Grande Prairie Pride Society is kicking off Pride Month in the Peace Region Monday, June 2, with the annual Rainbow Crosswalk Paint near City Hall.

All are welcome to stop by and help refresh the two crosswalks and show their support.

The Pride Society will be on hand with a community barbecue, music, lawn games and more to usher in the start of the month.

Other Pride events planned throughout the month include the Rainbow Bright Teen Dance, the Party in White, and a Pride Family Carnival.

The crosswalk painting goes Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 pm.
