Two wanted men arrested on outstanding warrants

Mounties in Fairview say on Sunday they were able to apprehend two wanted individuals.

With help from the community and RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, police were able to locate and arrest Jesse William Jackson on warrants out of Fairview for:

  • Flight from Police
  • Dangerous Operation
  • Drive while Prohibited (x2)

Jackson was also charged with:

  • Drive while Prohibited
  • Fail to Comply with Release Conditions
  • Drive Uninsured Motor Vehicle
  • Operate Motor Vehicle without subsisting certificate of Registration
  • Knowingly operate Motor Vehicle with cancelled/Suspended Registration

He was remanded into custody following a Judicial Interim Release Hearing and is to be in Peace River court on June 2, 2025.

During the investigation of Jackson, Mounties were also able to arrest Richard John Strong on outstanding warrants out of Peace River. Those outstanding warrants are:

  • Assault while Choking
  • Theft under $5,000
  • Fail to Attend Court

Strong was released after a Judicial Interim Released Hearing and is scheduled to be in Peace River court on June 9, 2025.

Mounties were also able to recover one stolen vehicle and two firearms were seized, one of which was prohibited as it was altered.
