HFCRD congratulating bronze-medal winner at Canada-wide science fair

Holy Family Catholic Regional School Division is congratulating a St. Stephen’s School student for her achievements at a national science competition.

Elianna Eagles won the bronze medal at the Canada-Wide Science Fair held in Fredericton, New Brunswick for her project, “From Crises to Catalysts: Harnessing Algae’s Power with a Cost-Effective, Buoyant Biophotovoltaic.”

The project explored the potential of using algae’s natural photosynthetic process to generate low-cost sustainable energy.

In addition to receiving the medal, she was granted a scholarship of $3000 to Mount Allison University located in New Brunswick, as well as a scholarship of $1000 to Western University situated in Ontario.

HFCRD is congratulating Eagles for her success and for her and fellow St. Stephen’s student Hannah Klinck for represent their school on the national stage.
