Blueberry Mountain Wildfire crossed Silver Valley Road

The Central Peace Regional Emergency Management provided another update on the Blueberry Mountain Wildfire.

Officials say the blaze crossed Silver Valley Road last night, resulting in the evacuation of a single residence.

Silver Valley Road, also known as Range Road 95, is now closed between Highway 49 and Township Road 810.

CPREM says a roadblock has been set up and will be staffed 24/7.

At this time, the fire is estimated to be 3,000 hectares in size.
