City conducting road work on 97 Ave and 139 Ave

A pair of road construction projects in Grande Prairie kicked off on Wednesday, June 11.

Construction on 97 Avenue began with crews working the underground valve and hydrant on behalf of Aquatera, followed by a full road excavation and reconstruction.

While the work is ongoing, sections of 97 Avenue will be open to local traffic only and Transit Route 3 will be impacted in the coming weeks.

The City has also begun their work fully excavating and reconstructing 139 Avenue between 99 Street and 100 Street, with minimal disruption to the surrounding area anticipated.
