Kiskatinaw River UPDATE #30

All County of Grande Prairie evacuees allowed to return home

Jun 13, 2025 | 5:16 PM

All County of Grande Prairie evacuees can now return home, as recent rain, favourable conditions and firefighting efforts have significantly slowed the blaze.

According to GPREP’s latest update, residents on the Alberta side of the BC border are now on evacuation alert.

GPREP does ask evacuees returning home to call 911 if they see any open burning flames.

They also want to remind residents that despite recent and forecasted rainfall, we are experiencing drought conditions and a province-wide fire ban remains in effect.
