More road rehabilitation to be done in Pinnacle Ridge

Jun 17, 2025 | 12:00 PM

The construction season continues in Grande Prairie with more road work to start on Wednesday in the Pinnacle Ridge subdivision of the city.

Work in the neighbourhood will happen on:

  • Pinnacle Boulevard between Pinnacle Drive and 114 Street
  • 114 Street between Pinnacle Boulevard and Pinnacle Drive

The work will consist of asphalt milling, storm sewer repairs, full-depth reclamation, asphalt overlay paving, spot concrete replacement, re-establishing road line markings and crosswalks, as well as final landscaping.

Asphalt overlay will be used in areas where full reconstruction is not needed, but requires surface improvements to help extend road life and driving comfortability.

The City says that during construction, traffic will be maintained but down to single alternating lanes and a reduced speed of 30 km/h in active work zones. Short-term closures may happen but local access for traffic will be maintained. Sidewalks and pathways will remain open the entire time.

Nearby transit routes may be affected by this construction, riders are being encouraged to stay up to date on affected routes on the City’s website, through the GP MyRide On-Demand app, or by using the Where’s My Ride bus tracker.
