The 52nd Wanham Plowing Match starts tomorrow (Friday, with what is being called “a special feature event” included on Day 1.

One competition will include the premier and some local MLAs.

Organizers say Danielle Smith, MLAs Todd Loewen, Nolan Dyck and Ron Wiebe, along with Birch Hills Country Reeve Albert Poetker, will all take part in “Plowing for Politics.”

Organizers call this a “lighthearted and lively competition” where abilities will be tested using “old-fashioned horse-drawn plows”.

It will run from 12:30 to 1:30 at Plowing Field G on the plowing match grounds.

Other events start at 10 a.m. Friday and go into the evening.

Start time on Saturday and Sunday will be 8 a.m.
