Annual Kidney Walk to take place at Muskoseepi Park Jun. 22

The annual Grande Prairie Kidney Walk will take place at Muskoseepi Park Sunday.

Members of the Grande Prairie community will be gathering at the Ernie Radbourne Pavilion to support kidney and transplant patients, families and organ donors.

Funds raised through the walk help deliver short-term financial assistance, peer support, education and more vital programs.

This year’s Honorary Chair is Jessica Welsh, a long-time Grande Prairie resident and kidney transplant, who was first diagnosed in 1997.

Welsh says she is honoured to give back to the Kidney Foundation, which was a source of hope and strength through her journey.

The Kidney Walk is taking place on Sunday at Muskoseepi Park; registration will begin at 10:15 a.m.
