97 Ave & 100 St intersection traffic lights switchover

Residents working the night shift may see some delays this evening (Tuesday, June 24) as City of Grande Prairie crews conduct traffic signal switchover work.

Starting at 8 p.m., the intersection of 97 Avenue and 100 Street will turn into a four-way stop, “with signage in place to help guide drivers.”

Due to the lights becoming a four-way for the time being, minor delays are expected overnight; the City also wanted to note that nearby residents may hear some machinery noise overnight.

Construction is expected to wrap up by 1 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, weather permitting.
