Confirmed case of measles in Grande Prairie
Jun 24, 2025 | 12:28 PM
AHS has been made aware that a person infected with measles was out in a public setting twice in Grande Prairie throughout last week.
The first was last Tuesday, June 17, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Shoppers Drug Mart in Wapiti Centre, and then again on Sunday, June 22, from 7 p.m. to 9:30 pm at the Trader Ridge Co-op.
Now, anyone who attended either of these locations, born in or after 1970 and has fewer than two documented doses of measles-containing vaccine, may be at risk for developing measles.
If symptoms develop, stay home and call the hotline at 1-844-944-3434 before visiting a healthcare provider.
