Stolen vehicle stop leads to firearms charges agaisnt three people

Grande Prairie Rural RCMP say a stop of a stolen vehicle led to firearms and other charges against three people.

Mounties say on June 19, police spotted a suspected stolen vehicle near Clairmont.

A search of the vehicle turned up a sawed-off shotgun. The weapon had the safety off and was located near a set of zip ties.

Chrisopher Lindgren, 33, and Krista Healey, 38, of no fixed address and Holly Breland, 41 from Grande Prairie, are all facing charges that include five firearm counts, possession of property obtained by crime and possession of unstamped tobacco.

Lindgren and Healy are also facing two failure to comply charges.

All three have been released.

Lindgren and Healy are due in Grande Prairie court July 14, Breland on August 13.
